TEKKA-MAKI

Sashimi grade (ahi) red tuna seasoned with Wasabi, surrounded by seasoned rice and wrapped in nori (seaweed). Tekka-Maki got its name from the gambling casinos known as Tekka-Jo, where rolIed sushi was served because it was easy to eat while gambling. Tekka-Maki are hlgh in protein and iron, and the seaweed used to wrap the tuna is also high in vitamins and minerals.
